This project is hereby cancelled. This evening, I found the rose right where I had put it, but this time, it had a huge chunk missing out of one side of the top. There were no pieces to be found anywhere near the stone. Hmmm.... Think children had something to do with it? It really bothers me that someone would take my work, damage it -- even though it was likely an accident -- and just put it back like nothing happened. My feelings are hurt that one of them would take that much of my time and do that. Anyway, I guess I will have to think about and start my next project. Hopefully, children can keep their hands to themselves this time.
