Most of this project was completed with the rotary tool. I did, masochist that I am, finish and do scales with hand-tools. I plan to eventually mount this piece on a small post to a wood plaque, facing a slightly upward angle. I do not think I will varnish or finish the stone, though, as I like the way it looks in its natural state.
