The weather turned ugly here yesterday, so I haven’t been moving particularly well. I did get this piece finished over the last couple days, though. :) The body shape was interesting to do because of ridges of harder stone near the top of the bud. This also affected taking the stone from beneath the top of the petal overlaps in some areas.

I like the end product, so all the time was worth it. I have the next project started and the prospect of a really interesting commission. I will start posting on the new project tomorrow.
