After polishing this piece yesterday, I had an inspiration. I got out the paint, etc., and began mixing. The result was wonderful! I finally figured out how to create a fully translucent paint in the color I was looking for. (No, I am not revealing how I did it. Some things I do have to keep to myself.)

Mini’s: vi Complete, vii Begun All images are the physical and intellectual property of Barbara Minnick, aka Stormcarver. Unauthorized use prohibited. And both of the lilies that were colored... I also started the last group of lilies for which I have alabaster cut. I plan to make them on wider patterns, like the first couple I carved. They do have some interesting twists, though. Here is the first of the last group... Weather is grey and raining today, as you may have guessed from the different-than-normal location of the photos and the background of a couple above. Despite that, I am going to try to get the new lilies carved out with the chisel, if my hands will deal with it.
