I went looking through my big box of stone, hoping for inspiration. In scraps from the white crystal rose, I found it. This is the piece I decided to play with.

Form Carving, Crystal Alabaster All images are the physical and intellectual property of Barbara Minnick, aka Stormcarver. Unauthorized use prohibited. I started making sketches of possibilities...then went through some of my old work. I found the sketch below and decided that I wanted to try putting it into stone. Got the lines carved down into the alabaster and have started trimming the stone for fit the form. Working on getting the excess taken out from around the figure before I start with contours. I haven’t done human form in stone before. This could be a lot of fun.
