The detail work on the rose’s petals has been fairly brutal. Add to that an extra kid in the house and my being sick and it’s been very slow-going. The design on this piece -- compact, scalloped and curved -- is one that I really like in appearance and yet curse at while working. :) I am including the pictures I took, 8 in all, each an hour to 2 hours apart while working. I am hoping that you can see a difference in each one. If not, please never tell me!

Pipestone Rosebud I, cont’d. All images are the physical and intellectual property of Barbara Minnick, aka Stormcarver. Unauthorized use prohibited. Finally, feeling like I wasn’t getting anywhere, I decided to concentrate on one particular area. The following photos were taken 2.5 hours apart.
 
 
I feel better looking at those. Have made some progress, after all! I will be continuing detail carving on the top, then on to the side petal overlaps. Am hoping I can get the top done in the next couple days. Still feel icky, though, which makes things slower, and J is talking about making me go do stuff today. *cry*
