I worked on this rose last night and it is demanding. I almost can’t put it down. It’s going to take a while to get things shaped out because the curves are steep and negative space deep. This is what I have so far...

Pipestone Rose ii All images are the physical and intellectual property of Barbara Minnick, aka Stormcarver. Unauthorized use prohibited. These photos come out oddly, looking like the rose curves or tilts. I took this last photo to show that it is actually quite level and straight. I hope to get this fleshed out today, at least where the general petal shaping is concerned. After the last one, this one should go rather quickly. My hands are back in shape and my calluses haven’t had a chance to disappear. I am also in a great frame of mind to work, so...as soon as this page is posted, I am going to tackle it.
