StormcArver Sculpture Home

Creating boxes is a test like no other. Each starts as one solid piece of stone. The stone is shaped and sanded, then a measured slab sawed carefully from the top. A lip is created on both the lid and body of the box that will fit together easily, yet snugly. Careful measuring, carving, and refitting takes time, but is worth it in the end. Boxes may be left with a natural finish, or rubbed with oil or natural wax for extra sheen and strength.
I have carved a number of these boxes, all of unfinished raw American alabaster and in varying natural shapes. Custom image carving available upon request, fee negotiable.
