This is the first finished polymer clay piece, entitled Autumn Leaves. Each leaf was individually sculpted and airbrushed, then epoxied in place and mounted upon a wood base measuring 7”x7”. This is the largest and most involved polymer clay project to date. Each feather was sculpted and baked individually, then placed to form the wing and fixed in place. The color is airbrush, meant to simulate burning from within with intense and destructive heat. There is intentional damage to small areas of this piece, fixed to seem done inexpertly or hurriedly, to simulate the damage done to itself by our current “right wing” government that is burning itself out from within.
