This Miniature Gladiola started as an experiment to see if it could be carved in stone. Delicate, layered petals in Translucent Alabaster, accented with translucent color at the edges, worked well and have a nice effect. The Gladiola is approximately 2”x1.75”x0.75”. These Morning Daisies are carved of white crystal alabaster and green wonderstone. The stems are braided 25 gauge wire, epoxied to each piece. They are approximately 1”-2” in diameter and range from approx. 10”-13” in height.
 
This Emperor Scorpion is carved of black chlorite with white crystal alabaster additions. The rear 6 legs were carved separately from the body. All additions were epoxied to the main body. This was carved specifically as a birthday gift for my sister.
