These are truly “odd bits.” Pieces that appear on this page will include: trials with new materials, things I want to try, strange interests, personal challenges, challenges made by (I assume will be) drunken friends, and suggestions that intrigue me but don’t fall into my normal work types.

Enjoy!

This miniature puppet is made to move with two fingers and thumb. The head is made of foam and lined with fabric and craft foam for durability. Head covering, clothes, and blanket are hand-stitched. Eyelids and hands are hand-sculpted of clay and hand painted. Mouth interior is made of reinforced craft foam. Eyes are colored glass and hair is yarn.

This is the first fully-finished puppet experiment. I hope to follow with larger versions in more styles. This puppet has a home with our youngest kiddo.
Mini is approximately 8”x5”.
